COOPERTAXI, COOPARIOCA, COOPERTRAMO, etc. The
price for one journey is about 40 reais. The
tip (10 % of the price) is not obligatory.

The main international credit cards (Visa,
Master Card, Diner’s Club and American
Express) are accepted. It is advisable to ensure
that your card will be accepted beforehand, especially
in restaurants.
Some shops will give a small discount for cash
payments.
Travellers’ cheques are generally accepted
but cheques drawn on foreign banks are not.
